NEW "OLD" COUNTRY HOUSE
This home was designed for a couple who wanted a weekend get-away that looked as if it had been built over several generations. The main structure is a salvaged 1860's log cabin, with a "newer" Federal-styled stone addition to the right, and a 1930's style stucco addition to the left. The central portion of the home is comprised of the Gathering Room with kitchen, and opens to the rear to take in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains beyond. The right-most portion of the house is reserved for a formal dining room and library/study, with guest bedrooms above.
