I don't know what this came from (I think it was the title of a book or something), but the question is used to begin a dialog about tacking daunting tasks.
The answer, of course, is "One bite at a time."
Moving the Nelson House, especially within the time frame given, is a daunting task. It's elephant-sized, or rather mammoth!
But in a short 3 weeks we've managed to do more than most, simply by breaking the steps down. It's been exhausting and exhilarating. And I've questioned my sanity more than once.
Last night's council meeting was productive.
Our only question really was "Is the Town lot for sale?" Though we did not receive a direct answer at the meeting, a lot of information was exchanged and we received a call this morning stating that, yes, the Town will work with us, but they are skeptical of the project being completed in a time frame that will not hold up the construction of the new office building.
Fair enough. I decided to take the project on, so it's my reponsibility to alleviate the concerns of all parties involved. Not the collaboration I was hoping for, but I'll take it.
They Council has requested detailed information, specifically in regards to the financing and the site.
